Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing (1989) changed the lives of minorities across the country and raised the bar for African-American filmmakers. As an aspiring black filmmaker myself, this is almost like The Bible to me. I know thats taking it kinda far, but to me, not really. Last month Spike Lee celebrated the 25 year anniversary of the film and celebrities and artists alike, showed their support.
In this short film presented by Beats Music and Spike Lee, the iconic director walks the legendary block (Stuyvesant Ave) with the cast from the film to relive moments with each other and the current residents that live there.
