Netflix has signed a new deal with Adam Sandler to produce and star in four new movies that will appear exclusively on their channel. In partnership with Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions company, the streaming serivce will release a string of films with similar sized budgets to the actor’s major motion pictures. Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix, said that Adam’s comedies are some of the highest viewed on Netflix month in and month out.
“When these fine people came to me with an offer to make four movies for them, I immediately said yes for one reason and one reason only … Netflix rhymes with Wet Chicks,” Mr. Sandler said in a statement. “Let the streaming begin!”
