New York Knicks owner, James Dolan, is the lead man of a band called ‘JD and The Straight Shot,’ which will be opening up for The Eagles on September 18th at Madison Square Garden. The billionaire CEO has vowed to take a lesser role within the Knicks organization now that Phil Jackson is in town, which has given him more time to focus on his music, including a song about Trayvon Martin.
The new song, titled ‘Under That Hood’ explores the tragic death of Trayvon Martin with a chorus that goes like this; “It’s all good/Under my hood/So misunderstood.” You can listen to the full thing here.
Dolan, who is largely hated by the Knicks fan base, has also pledged to donate $100,000 to fight ALS if at least 6,000 people join him in playing the kazoo solo during “Governor’s Blues” at their September 18th show.
